1. Acceptance and scope
These terms apply to the use of the website and the consultation and coordination services provided by Japan Care Concierge ("the Service"), operated with the care-service experience of Social Welfare Corporation Shinkou Fukushikai ("the Corporation"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
2. What the Service Does and Does Not Do
The Service helps families organize information, prepare questions, compare practical options, and communicate with medical institutions, care providers, and municipal offices in Japan. The Service does not:
- Provide medical care, including diagnosis, treatment decisions, or prescription instructions
- Directly provide nursing or personal care services
- Sell, solicit, or broker insurance products
- Provide licensed professional services such as legal representation or tax advice
3. Medical emergency disclaimer
The Service is not an emergency response service. In any situation involving immediate risk to life or safety, do not contact the Service — call Japan's emergency number 119 (ambulance/fire), 110 (police), or contact a medical institution or municipal office directly.
4. Not professional advice; no clinician–patient relationship
Information provided through the Service is for consultation preparation and coordination. It is not a substitute for the judgment of a physician, lawyer, tax professional, or insurance specialist. Use of the Service does not create a physician–patient, attorney–client, or similar professional relationship. Where medical, legal, tax, or insurance decisions are needed, please consult the relevant professional.
5. Introductions are not endorsements
When the Service provides information about or introductions to medical institutions, care providers, or facilities, this does not guarantee or endorse the quality or outcomes of any specific provider. Contracts with providers are made directly between you and the provider.
6. Fees and payment
Support fees are quoted individually after we understand the situation, and are confirmed in writing (including email) together with the scope, content, and payment method before ongoing work begins. Cancellation and change terms follow the individual quotation or agreement. See pricing for how engagements are structured.
7. Your responsibilities
Please share the information that support depends on as accurately as you reasonably can. Final decisions about providers, facilities, treatment, contracts, travel, or residence remain with you, your family, and the relevant professionals and institutions.
8. Prohibited conduct
When using the Service, you must not:
- Violate laws or public order
- Provide knowingly false information
- Interfere with the operation of the Service
- Infringe the intellectual property, reputation, or privacy of the Corporation or any third party
- Attempt unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
9. Intellectual property
The text, images, logos, and other content on this site belong to the Corporation or to third parties holding legitimate rights. They may not be reproduced, republished, or modified without the rights holder's permission.
10. Changes, suspension, or termination of the Service
We may change the content of the Service or suspend or terminate it as needed. Except where unavoidable, we will give advance notice.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service does not guarantee outcomes — such as admission to a facility, the result of a medical visit, or the result of an administrative procedure. Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability for damages arising in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost profits. We are not responsible for the acts of third parties, including providers we introduce.
12. Privacy
For how we handle personal information, see the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms to reflect legal changes or changes to the Service. Significant changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Governing law, jurisdiction, and language
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Yokohama District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over disputes related to the Service. The Japanese version of these terms is the authoritative text; this English version is provided for convenience.
