Once a parent is up, this is the help that gets them where they are going: a steadying arm on a walk, a pushed wheelchair, someone on the stairs. Inside the home it is part of personal care; outside, covered help usually has to tie to the care plan's purpose, such as a clinic visit. Families abroad assume a helper can take a parent anywhere. Check with the care manager which outings a visit can cover and which need private help.
